Our Men's Shed is Empowering the Local Leyburn Community
Leyburn & District Men's Shed is a non-profit organisation that provides opportunities for men in the community to come together, support the local community and specifically deal with older men's health issues. We offer first-aid courses and defibrillator training to boost the health knowledge of the community. We help with PTSD and suicide prevention, and we support the financial position of the Leyburn Men's Shed to ensure it continues to be available to people in our area.
First Aid Courses
We at Leyburn and District Mens Shed are passionate about helping the community by providing first-aid courses and defibrillator training. Our non-profit organisation is dedicated to empowering individuals to save lives, and we believe that no one should be left behind when it comes to being prepared for an emergency.
Support to Empower
We are dedicated to providing the local community with services that promote mental health among older men and provide them with financial support when needed. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all members of our local community feel supported and empowered.
Leyburn Trading Post
Our retail shop, the Leyburn Trading Post at 5804 Dove Street, is operated by volunteers and sells goods on consignment for the general public and donated goods for the Men's Shed. It's our goal to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need and every single individual who joins us, shares this vision.
